Stevens Tenotomy Scissor
$8.00

The Cakir Scratcher (S5-127-05) is an 18.5cm instrument with a 5.0mm-wide working tip, used in rhinoplasty as part of the Cakir technique family alongside the matching Cakir nasal chisel and osteotome in this range, for rasping or roughening bone surface rather than cutting or biting it away.
Unlike a chisel or osteotome, which cuts through bone, or a rongeur, which bites away fragments, a scratcher (a form of fine rasp) is used to roughen or lightly abrade the bone surface — useful for preparing a bone surface for a subsequent step, smoothing minor irregularities, or creating a slightly roughened surface to promote a specific healing or grafting response, depending on the surgical technique being used.
The 5.0mm width gives a moderate working surface, matching the scale of the related Cakir chisel and osteotome instruments in this range, suited to fine bone-surface work on the nasal pyramid.
This instrument is used in rhinoplasty as part of the broader Cakir instrument technique, for fine bone-surface preparation and smoothing following osteotomy or chisel work on the nasal bony pyramid.
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel and hand-finished in Sialkot, Pakistan, with a precisely textured working tip designed for controlled, fine surface abrasion.
Fully autoclavable. The textured working tip should be inspected for wear or clogging with bone debris during routine cleaning and pre-use checks.
The Cakir Scratcher, 18.5cm, SKU S5-127-05, is supplied by Scatter Instruments to hospitals, rhinoplasty and maxillofacial surgery centers, and distributors internationally, with bulk pricing and OEM or private-label branding available on request.
