Mini Metzenbaum Scissor, 9cm — Overview

The Mini Metzenbaum Scissor (SS-142-00 family) is a compact 9cm version of the standard Metzenbaum dissecting scissor, available in straight or curved blades, each in Standard or Supercut finish, sized for fine, delicate dissection in confined surgical spaces smaller than the full-length Metzenbaum range accommodates.

Why a Mini Version

At 9cm, well below the 14cm minimum of the standard Metzenbaum range in this catalog, this scissor is suited to very fine, delicate dissection work — pediatric surgery, microsurgery-adjacent procedures, or any maxillofacial work in a small, confined field where the reach and blade length of a standard Metzenbaum would be excessive.

Straight or Curved, Standard or Supercut

As with the full-size Metzenbaum range, the curved version follows anatomical contours more naturally for general dissection, while the straight version suits direct-line cutting; Supercut finish adds a micro-serrated cutting edge for reduced tissue slippage during fine dissection.

Clinical Use

This scissor is used in maxillofacial, pediatric, and fine reconstructive surgery wherever delicate dissection in a small or confined surgical field is required.

Material and Construction

Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel and hand-finished in Sialkot, Pakistan, with precisely aligned blades at the compact 9cm scale.

Sterilization and Care

Fully autoclavable across all configurations. Blade alignment and sharpness should be checked before each use.
