About this instrument

Moberg Chisel, 18cm — Overview

The Moberg Chisel (S5-118-00 family) is an 18cm bone chisel available in 10mm, 12.0mm, 14mm, and 16mm widths, providing a broader-width chisel option for maxillofacial and craniofacial bone work compared with the finer rhinoplasty-oriented chisels elsewhere in this catalog.

Four Widths

Spanning 10mm to 16mm, this range covers moderate-to-broad bone cutting and contouring needs, suited to maxillofacial and reconstructive procedures where more substantial bone volume needs to be addressed than the fine 3–7mm chisels used in nasal osteotomy work.

Clinical Use

This chisel is used in maxillofacial and craniofacial reconstructive surgery for broader bone-cutting and contouring tasks, complementing the finer-width chisel and osteotome families elsewhere in this catalog.

Material and Construction

Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel and hand-finished in Sialkot, Pakistan, with a hardened, precisely ground cutting edge at each width.

Sterilization and Care

Fully autoclavable across all widths. The cutting edge should be inspected before each use for nicks or dulling.

Ordering

The Moberg Chisel, 18cm, is available as S5-118-10 (10mm), S5-118-12 (12.0mm), S5-118-14 (14mm), and S5-118-16 (16mm). Scatter Instruments supplies this range internationally to hospitals, surgery centers, and distributors, with bulk pricing and OEM or private-label branding available on request.
