The Smith Sagital Split Separator, Left (S27-165-01) is the left-side instrument in the Smith sagittal split separator pair, used to separate the proximal and distal mandibular segments following a sagittal split osteotomy.

Left-Side Design

Contoured specifically for the left mandibular ramus, this separator is used together with its right-side counterpart for bilateral sagittal split procedures.

Clinical Use

Used in bilateral sagittal split osteotomy (BSSO) to separate the proximal and distal segments of the left mandibular ramus after the osteotomy cuts are completed.

Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel and hand-finished in Sialkot, Pakistan for a rigid, precisely angled blade.

Sterilization and Care

Fully autoclavable and intended for repeated reuse. The blade should be inspected before each use for deformation.
