Trephine Guide/Alcohol Chamber — Overview

The Trephine Guide/Alcohol Chamber (SA-690-00) is a guide device that holds dilute alcohol solution against the cornea to loosen the epithelium prior to LASEK trephination.

Design

Its chamber seals against the corneal surface, containing the alcohol solution within the demarcated treatment zone for a controlled exposure time.

Used in LASEK refractive surgery to apply dilute alcohol to the corneal epithelium prior to flap separation.
