Lieberman K-Wire Lid Speculum, Nasal Approach — Overview

The Lieberman K-Wire Lid Speculum, Nasal Approach (S1-560-ls family) is an adult-scale wire speculum with a 7.5cm overall length, available in 10mm and 15mm blade sizes, in stainless steel or titanium, extending the Lieberman K-wire blade design seen in the infant version up to general adult sizing.

The same K-wire blade geometry used in the Lieberman infant speculum is scaled up here for adult anterior segment surgery, offering the characteristic gentle, low-mass wire contact in a size range suited to routine adult cataract and anterior segment procedures.

Two Sizes, Two Materials

The 10mm size suits narrower palpebral fissures or a more conservative exposure; 15mm provides wider access for oculoplastic or reconstructive procedures. Both are available in stainless steel, for durable general use, or titanium, for reduced weight and enhanced long-term corrosion resistance.

Nasal Approach Configuration

The arms keep the instrument body toward the temporal side, the standard configuration for most routine anterior segment and cataract procedures where the surgeon's working instruments approach from the nasal side.
