The Mellinger Eye Speculum, Closed Blade (SA-790-89) is a 15mm stainless steel eyelid retractor with a closed blade profile, one of three Mellinger variants in this range that share the same blade size but differ in blade construction — closed, open wire, and solid.

Closed Blade Design

The closed blade profile offers a continuous, smooth edge with no open notch or hook, reducing the risk of catching tissue or drape material during insertion, adjustment, or removal — a straightforward, general-purpose retraction option at the common 15mm size.

Clinical Use
