The rounded wire blade profile offers broader, smoother contact than a flat blade of the same width, gentler on lid tissue during longer procedures — a quality valued across both pediatric and adult use, which is why this design is offered explicitly sized for each. The 11mm size is specified for pediatric cases, while the 15mm size serves general adult anterior segment and cataract surgery.

Clinical Use

The pediatric 11mm size is used in strabismus surgery and other pediatric anterior segment procedures needing a gentle, rounded-contact retractor; the adult 15mm size is used in general cataract and anterior segment surgery with the same rounded-blade comfort characteristics.

Material and Construction

Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel and hand-finished in Sialkot, Pakistan, with spring tension calibrated appropriately for each size's intended age group.

Sterilization and Care

Fully autoclavable in both sizes. Routine pre-use inspection for wire deformation and spring tension is standard, with particular attention to the pediatric size given the sensitivity of smaller-scale retraction to tolerance.
