This Wire Lid Speculum (SA-790-63) combines a flared, rounded blade profile with a closed wire construction in a 14mm temporal-approach retractor, offering a broader, smoother contact surface than a standard wire loop while retaining the safety margin of a fully closed, non-catching blade edge.

Flared Rounded Closed Blade

The flared profile broadens the blade's effective contact width beyond a simple rounded wire loop, spreading pressure over more surface area for added comfort during longer procedures, while the closed construction eliminates any exposed wire end that could catch tissue — combining features found individually across the Ginsberg Lieberman (flared) and closed-blade designs elsewhere in this range.

14mm Blade, Temporal Approach
