Flynn Lens Loop Scleral Depressor
$35.00

The Schocket is a double ended scleral depressor with a rounded depressor end and a curved marking end. Both ends sit on one flat handle with a pocket clip. Some catalogues spell the name Schockett or Shocket.
Choose the Schocket when you want a hand held depressor and a marking end in one instrument. The Josephberg Besser double ended follows the same double ended layout with a curved tip shaped to the globe. The Schepens is the thimble alternative, and the O'Connor pairs a teardrop depressor end with a fine Gass marking end.
Scleral depression during indirect ophthalmoscopy, retinal examination and retinal surgery, pressing gently on the sclera through the lid to bring the peripheral retina into view.
Surgical grade stainless steel, hand finished in Sialkot, Pakistan, with a smooth, atraumatic tip.
Supplied non-sterile. Clean and sterilize it before first use. It is fully autoclavable and made for repeated use. Rinse it straight after use, clean it with a neutral pH detergent, and never use saline or abrasive cleaners. Inspect the tip before each use: it must be smooth, with no burr or scratch. See our instrument care guide.
